DREAM THEATER EARN SECOND GRAMMY NOMINATION, THIS TIME FOR “BEST METAL PERFORMANCE” FOR “THE ENEMY INSIDE”  FROM THEIR CURRENT SELF-TITLED WORLDWIDE SMASH ALBUM
BAND TO LAUNCH MASSIVE HEADLINING WORLD TOUR JANUARY 15 IN EUROPE BEFORE REACHING NORTH AMERICA IN MARCH
DREAM THEATER’s spirit of adventure and fearless musical virtuosity continues to reap dividends for the progressive metal titans who’ve just earned their second Grammy nomination, this time for “Best Metal Performance” for their single “The Enemy Inside” from their current self-titled worldwide smash album on Roadrunner Records. The band--John Petrucci (guitar), John Myung (bass), James LaBrie(vocals), Jordan Rudess (keyboards & continuum) and Mike Mangini (drums) -- received its first-ever Grammy nomination in 2012 for “On The Backs Of Angels” (from their A Dramatic Turn Of Events album) in the “Best Hard Rock/Metal Performance” category.

The band’s current DREAM THEATER album made a spectacular debut at #1 onBillboard’s “Hard Rock Albums” chart, while simultaneously entering at #7 on the overall Billboard 200. This marks the acclaimed group's third consecutive top 10 debut, and also saw DREAM THEATER making top 5 chart debuts in Japan,GermanyItalyCanada, Argentina, Switzerland, Holland, and Finland, as well astop 10 debuts in Denmark, Austria, and Norway with career high debuts in the United Kingdom and Australia
With founding guitarist John Petrucci producing and studio luminary Richard Chycki(Aerosmith, Rush) engineering and mixing, DREAM THEATER marks a brilliant new chapter for the band. Rolling Stone touted the collection as “...the birth of a new era in the band’s career,” while Loudwire exclaimed that “Dream Theater pushes the envelope into (a) new musical dimension, a cosmic realm reserved for the best.”
DREAM THEATER will tour in support of the new album, visiting 30 cities in 16 countries. The tour starts in Europe January 15 and runs through March 2, including two shows in Russia. Next, the band will tour North America beginning in March--full details will be announced soon.
