Tyketto JB's Dudley Thursday 22nd of January

I haven't left a review this long before but then again I haven't had to prepare for an interview and all that goes with it before either! For Tyketto I will try not to be too biased after meeting up with Danny and Don't Come Easy being in my top 5 cd's of all time!!

Arrived at 4.15 to hear Tyketto running through Wings and Seasons. Most bands would like to be this good at the show let alone the sound check. Then Eden ran through the song Oblivion, again very good. Met up with Danny which was simply a fantastic experience. (see the post below for our exclusive interview)

Onto the gig .Angel House were on first. Not many people in at this point. It may have helped if people had known they were on as they weren't on the posters. Three piece band playing pretty traditional straight ahead rock. Not bad at all - debut cd out soon.

Next up Eden. I saw them support House Of Lords in London and again they impressed. Played songs from the new cd Oblivion, which at last is out with a couple off the first cd Open Minds. The two star performers are Vince O'Regan on geetar and Nick Workman on vox who really should be playing to bigger crowds than this. They got a few of the crowd going. One to watch out for but need to go out on a full tour!!

Thank goodness for Kieran Dargan from the Firefest shows who got Tyketto to reform and with the success of those 2 shows they have decided that they have more to offer. The crowd had swelled considerably by the time they came on.The 2 new guys filled in seamlessly. PJ(geetar) has played with Danny before in Vaughn so is a sort of new guy but had an absolute ball on stage .Grinning the whole time.Lay Your Body down started the night and set the standard for the evening from the off. We had 3 songs from 2007's Last Farewell cd(Big Wheels, Go For Your Guns and Last Sunset), 3 from Strength In Numbers and 9 off Don't Come Easy only Strip Me Down not appearing. You know my love for this band and to finally hear these songs was a joy. Danny is a true star, great stage presence and what a voice. Standing Alone was a highlight and then to finish, my favourite Forever Young. All the crowd knew every word as Danny had said earlier this what bonds the band and crowd.

I have tried not to be too biased but it is difficult it really was fab day all round and it took a week for the grin to come off my face.
