Due to a recent vocal cord condition with lead singer and guitarist Alan Nimmo, the majority of King King’s November 2016 UK tour dates with special guests Broken Witt Rebels, have been re-scheduled to January, February, March and May 2017.
King King will honour four of the original November date that include Edinburgh Queen's Hall (Friday 25th November), Chester’s The Live Rooms (Saturday 26th November), Clitheroe’s The Grand Venue (Sunday 27th November), and London’s Islington Assembly Hall (Tuesday 29th November).
All tickets are £20.00, are available from the 24 Hour Box Office: 0844 478 0898 and www.thegigcartel.com.

Says King King’s frontman, Alan Nimmo, “I’ve seen my ENT specialist and he put a camera down my throat to look at what condition my vocal cords were in. Unfortunately, there was still a good bit of inflammation and redness. I’ve been working with a vocal coach and to build strength and stamina to aid my recovery.”
“We will be re-scheduling most of the dates on the UK to tour January, February and March, however, we will commit to the remaining four shows on the November UK tour, beginning at Edinburgh’s Queen's Hall (25th November), continuing through to the Live Rooms in Chester (26th November), The Grand Venue in Clitheroe (27th November) and wrapping up in London at Islington Assembly Hall on 29th November.”

Having scored three radio hit singles on Planet Rock with the songs CrazyHurricane, and most recently, Rush Hour, the band have just released their fourth single Waking Up.  In 2015, King King received a nomination for Best New Band at the 2015 Classic Rock Awards, and followed up with a UK arena tour supporting Thunder that was highlighted at a packed concert at London’s Wembley Arena, and, as a result, won them over a raft of new fans.
The band’s 2015 album, Reaching For The Light, was voted #1 album by Blues Rock Review.  In 2014, King King won a total of five 2014 British Blues Awards, including Best Album and Best Band. The nods came from BBC Radio 2 presenter Paul Jones to Classic Rock’s The Blues magazine. Their support slot on John Mayall’s 2014 UK tour pushed the band to another level.

In 2014, King King’s second album Standing in the Shadows, firmly established them as the leading exponents of the British Blues scene.  They still retain that accolade today.
In 2016, King King scooped five British Blues Awards including Best Male Vocal (Alan Nimmo), Best Bass Player (Lindsay Coulson), Best Song (Rush Hour), Best Album(Reaching for the Light) and Best Songwriter.  October 2016 saw the release of King King’s first live album “King King Live” which hit the No.1 spot in Amazon’s Best Seller’s Blues Chart.

King King features the talents of Alan Nimmo (vocals, guitar), Lindsay Coulson (bass),Wayne Proctor (drums) and Bob Fridzema (keyboards).  King King are widely regarded as the UK’s hottest rock blues band. They are going from strength to strength.
“We will continue to take King King to new heights,” says Alan Nimmo. “We enjoy winning over new fans who’ve discovered us for the first time.  We’re also excited to have Broken Witt Rebels supporting us on our November tour, as they are a fine example of how a young rock group can connect to their rock and blues influences and still make it sound fresh and exciting.”
SPECIAL GUESTS - BROKEN WITT REBELS
In the last six months, the buzz around self-released, Birmingham blues rock band Broken Witt Rebels has reached a deafening roar. So much so that the band have rushed out their recent single, Guns, to capitalize on fan-driven interest.  The official video for Gunshas generated 4750,000 YouTube views. On 27th October 2016, the band won “Best Rock Act” at the first ever Unsigned Music Awards at London’s Troxy. On 28th October, the Rebels performed three songs on Vintage TV’s “The Friday Night Rock Show.
Chosen by the fans, Guns was the second single to be taken from the band’s Georgia Pine EP. Produced by Tom Gittins (Robert Plant), the previous single, Low, was a featured track of the week on Radio X, and play listed on Planet Rock.  Guns was A-listed and Plane Rock.  In September, the band followed with a third single Georgia Pine which was accompanied with a music video that comprising tour footage provided by fans.

GUNS pays homage to their hometown of Birmingham with a melody and energy that tears through you, with the refrain. “Born and raised where guns are made, they burn bright like a cigarette.”
The Birmingham four-piece is comprised of James Tranter (guitar), Danny Core(vocals), Luke Davis (bass) and James Dudley (drums). Their bluesy southern swagger has drawn favourable comparisons with Kings of Leon, Alabama Shakes and The Black Keys.
